New Quantum Computing Lab inaugurated with 12-qubit testbed

The ₹9-crore facility gives UG students hands-on access to real quantum hardware.

The Department of Physical Sciences inaugurated a Quantum Computing Laboratory featuring a 12-qubit superconducting testbed, dilution refrigeration, and a cloud access layer that lets undergraduates queue experiments from their laptops.

The lab will anchor the new quantum-track electives launching next semester and is already supporting three sponsored projects.
